
New York City – 22 November 2002 – VeriTouch Ltd. (U.S.A.) announced today the release of an advanced integrated security solution for the open source world with its reVeal™-L biometric engine and vr-3(U)™ USB fingerprint/smartcard reader and device driver for Linux operating systems.
Fully compatible with popular distributions of Linux including those provided by Red Hat® Linux, SuSE® Linux, and Mandrake® Linux, VeriTouch's breakthrough technology will offer the world's lowest-cost solution for biometric network security by virtue of the open source platform. The initial release to customers will include Linux kernels 2.4.7-10, 2.4.18, and 2.4.19.
The company's proprietary reVeal-L biometric engine offers extremely high levels of performance in the enrollment and matching of users' fingerprint data in real-time on Linux servers, allowing rapid deployment in large corporate, government, military, and healthcare customer environments.
More than two years in development, VeriTouch's reVeal-L biometric solution offers a complete, integrated HW/SW package for Linux Servers and Workstations, and is available immediately as an SDK (Software Development Kit) for customers world-wide.
